Academic Exchange

International Graduate
Study Abroad Program

Two new international graduate exchange opportunities that focus on biorenewable resources are currently being offered through a partnership involving the University of Arkansas, Iowa State University, University of Washington, University of Ghent (Belgium), University of Graz (Austria), and the National Polytechnic Institute of Toulouse (France). The opportunities include a two-week intensive course (January 9-20, 2006) and a semester exchange proposed to begin in Fall 2005.

Intensive Graduate Program

A two-week intensive program, "Renewable Biomaterials," is being offered in Ghent, Belgium. This program involves 30 hours of courses taught by international experts, practical exercises, excursions and a final examination. The Office of Graduate and International Admissions, and Sponsored Student Programs strives to provide professional and friendly customer service to prospective and current students, faculty, and staff. We assist potential students in the application and admission process often serving as an initial point of contact between the student and the university community. Graduate students, both domestic and international, international undergraduates, as well as students sponsored by agencies and foreign governments are served by our unit. International Admissions Office

The International Admissions Office serves prospective students who are not U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents at the time of application. The International Admissions Office also assists with the evaluation of credentials for academic work awarded outside the U.S.

Sponsored Student Programs

The University of Arkansas is pleased to offer a program to sponsors of international students and to the student directly which facilitates the admission, support, and repatriation of the sponsored student.

Sponsored Student Programs (SSP) takes the student and sponsor from the point of inquiry and admission to final degree conclusion and return home.
