Terry Martin called the meeting to order at 2:30P.M.
- The minutes for the May 22, 2009 meeting were approved.
- Course Change Proposals:
Terry Martin lead a short discussion on the importance of reviewing the course content for the courses being proposed because they are normally on consent agendas at the Faculty Senate and the Graduate Council.
- Undergraduate course change proposals (Table A) were approved without opposition and forwarded for the September 2009 Faculty Senate meeting.
- One course “HLSC 6553” was pulled from the consent agenda, all other Graduate and Dual course change proposals (Tables B & C) were approved without opposition and forwarded for the September Graduate Council meeting. HLSC 6553 – Environmental Health – was being moved from a 6000 level course to a 4000 level course and there was no content being changed. Betsy Orr explained that the content was remaining the same, but the assignments were being reduced in complexity. The course was approved without opposition and will be forwarded for consideration at the September Graduate Council meeting.
- Old Business: None
- New Business:
Proposed undergraduate program change for the Walton College of Business – Department of Management - GBUSBS – BSBA, General Business (Table One, Attachment 1A and Attachment 1B) was presented by Bill Curington. The program change requested to clarify the off-campus site delivery location to be the Global Campus-Rogers instead of the Northwest Arkansas Community College. The proposal was approved without opposition and will be forwarded for the September 2009 Faculty Senate meeting.
