Terry Martin called the meeting to order at 2:30P.M.
- The minutes for the September 25, 2009 meeting were approved.
- Course Change Proposals:
- Undergraduate and School of Law course change proposals (Tables A & D) were approved without opposition and forwarded for the November 11, 2009 Faculty Senate meeting.
- Graduate and Dual course change proposals (Tables B & C) were approved without opposition and forwarded for the November Graduate Council meeting.
- Old Business: None
- New Business:
Two program change proposals, HESCBS-BS, Human Environmental Sciences (Attachment 1A) and ELELBS-BSE, Elementary Education (Attachment 2B), were removed from the agenda at the request of each program.
- Proposed undergraduate program change for the College of Education and Health Professions, Department of Curriculum and Instruction - ELEDBS – BSE, Childhood Education (Table Two, Attachment 2A) was presented by Michael Miller. The program change requested to change the alpha code from ELED to CHED. The proposal was approved without opposition and will be forwarded for the November 11, 2009 Faculty Senate meeting.
- Proposed undergraduate program change for the College of Education and Health Professions, Department of Health Science, Kinesiology, Recreation and Dance - KINSBS – BSE, Kinesiology (Table Two, Attachment 2C) was presented by Michael Miller. The program change requested to change the entrance requirements in order to enter P-12 teaching concentration upper level courses and Senior Block. The proposal was approved without opposition and will be forwarded for the November 11, 2009 Faculty Senate meeting.
- Proposed graduate program change for the Department of Civil Engineering – TREGMS – MSTE, Transportation Engineering (Table Three, Attachment 3A) was presented by Terry Martin. The program change requested to delete the program. The proposal was approved without opposition and will be forwarded for the November 2009 Graduate Council meeting.
