Professional Learning Series

presented by the Graduate School

Each interactive session will cover a different topic on the professional development of graduate students. Students who attend all three sessions will receive a certificate of participation.

This semester we will present three sessions on the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR)

Sessions will be held in the Reynolds Center Auditorium (located behind the Walton College of Business Building).

Session 1 Wednesday, September 16, 2009, 3:30 – 5:00 pm
Introduction to Research Ethics
Presenter: Dr. Dennis Brewer, Associate Vice Provost for Research

Session 2 Wednesday, October 21, 2009, 3:30 – 5:00 pm
Authorship and Publication Issues
Presenter: Dr. Doug Adams, Associate Professor of Sociology

Session 3 Wednesday, November 11, 2009, 3:30 – 5:00 pm
Research Misconduct: Policies and Consequences
Presenter: Rosemary Ruff, Director, Office of Research Support and
Sponsored Programs

Students who attend all three sessions will receive a printed certificate of training in the Responsible Conduct of Research

A meal follows each session--no charge.
