Old Business:  College of Education & Health Professions, Department of Rehabilitation, Human Resources and Communication Disorders, M.S. degree in Counseling, Community Counseling Concentration (CNSLMS):  Proposal to change the name of the concentration to Clinical Mental Health Counseling (Attachment A, Attachment B).
  5. New Business
    1. Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences: Master of Science in Agricultural Economics (AGECMS):  Proposal to create an “Atlantis” thesis concentration (Attachment C, Attachment D). 
    2. College of Education and Health Professions
      1. (1).  Master of Arts in Teaching degree in Elementary Education (ELEDMA): Proposal to change course requirements as shown in Section V of Attachment E;
      2. (2).  Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership (EDLEME):  Proposal to add distance technology delivery to the existing on-campus program.  Students may take classes on campus and/or through distance technology (Attachment F, Attachment G);
      3. (3).  Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership (EDLES):  Proposal to change program delivery to offer the degree in a blended program of on-line and face-to-face delivery (Attachment H, Attachment I);
    3. c. College of Engineering, Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (ELEGMS):  Proposal to create a distance education option along with the existing on-campus option (Attachment J, Attachment K).

      1. Master of Science degree in Microelectronics-Photonics (MEPHMS):  Proposal to add an alternative undergraduate pre-requisite course; to allow an accelerated M.S. degree program; to add MEPH 5611 as a degree requirement; to change MEPH 5831 to MEPH 5832; to change catalog copy to reflect the separation of MEPH 5811 into MEPH 5811 and MEPH 5911; to change catalog copy to reflect the separation of MEPH 6811 into MEPH 6811 and MEPH 6911 (Attachment L);
      2. Ph.D. degree in Microelectronics-Photonics (MEPHPH):  Proposal to add an alternative undergraduate pre-requisite course; to clarify the two-part nature of the candidacy exam process; to add MEPH 5611 as a degree requirement; to change MEPH 5831 to MEPH 5832; to change catalog copy to reflect the separation of MEPH 5811 into MEPH 5811 and MEPH 5911; to change catalog copy to reflect the separation of MEPH 6811 into MEPH 6811 and MEPH 6911; to add a requirement for pre-approval from the Graduate Studies Committee of Ph.D. dissertations using the published paper format (Attachment M);
      3. Ph.D. degree in Public Policy (PUBPPH):  Proposal to create a new concentration, Policy Studies in Aging (Attachment N, Attachment O);
      4. (4).  Master of Science degree in Space & Planetary Sciences (SPACMS):  Proposal to change course requirements, as described in Section V of Attachment P;
      5. (5).  Ph.D. degree in Space & Planetary Sciences (SPACPH):  Proposal to change course requirements, as described in Section V of Attachment Q;
      6. (6).  Graduate School, Proposal to create a new graduate certificate program, Preparing for the Professoriate (PROFGC) (Attachment R, Attachment S).
  6. New Business, Policy Change:  Proposal to reduce the minimum acceptable score on the IBT Test of English as a Foreign Language for admission to the Graduate School from 80 to 79.
  7. Discussion item:  Using only course work taken for the degree to determine grade point average for granting the degree.
  8. Courses having no enrollment for the past five years, to remain active (Attachment T) and to be inactivated (Attachment U).
  9.
