  1. Minutes for the March 26th, 2009, Graduate Council meeting will stand approved if no corrections are received.  (Please review the minutes on the Graduate School web page before the meeting:  http://www.uark.edu/grad).

  3. Reports from the Academic Appeals Subcommittee and the Teaching Assistant Effectiveness Advisory Committee.
  4. Old Business:  None
  5. New Business, Program Changes in the Ph.D. in Business Administration (BADMPH) from the Walton College of Business, Graduate School of Business:
    1. Concentration in Accounting:  Proposal to replace a previous seminar requirement with ACCT 6433; to change course requirements; to change elective requirements; to require a second year summer paper requirement; and to eliminate the three paper dissertation option, to be replaced by a one or three paper format at the discretion of the dissertation chair, as described in Section V of Attachment A.
    2. Concentration in Information Systems:  Proposal to change decision making authority for deficiencies and the summer research paper; to modify the comprehensive exam policy; to change catalog copy reflecting a change in a course requirement from ISYS 6011 to ISYS 601V (1-3 credits); to modify the summer research requirements; and to add a deadline for the summer research requirement, as described in Section V of Attachment B.
    3. Concentration in Management:  Proposal to add a specialty area to the existing comprehensive exam as described in Section V of Attachment C.
    4. Concentration in Marketing:  Proposal to remove MKTG 6463 from the marketing core; to increase the number of elective hours from 9 to 12; to change the requirement of CISQ 6423 to ISYS 6333, as described in Section V of Attachment D.
