First Year Graduate Student Orientation

Our Goals

Student Spotlight

After visiting the campus, I was sure of my decision to attend graduate school at the U of A based upon the new and renovated facilities and resources available for students such as the extensive physical and electronic holdings at the library and the strength of computing services. There is a wealth of support for student research here. Central to my program are the research labs in Biological Sciences of course, but also the library, which has the means to own or acquire any materials I need for my studies.

The Office of Graduate Recruitment serves the University of Arkansas by focusing efforts on the Graduate School’s most valuable asset, its students. The Office of Graduate Recruitment will recruit quality students and develop relationships with educational and community organizations nationwide that will develop respect for our university. The relationships we create will ensure that culturally/ethnically diverse students have the opportunity to succeed at the University of Arkansas.

Information for International Students

Admissions and testing requirements, frequently asked questions, contact information and available forms for International Students who wish to apply to the University of Arkansas are available at the International Admissions Office web site. For further information, international support issues, intensive English language, and on campus resources for International Students, please visit the International Programs and Services web site.

Information for Sponsored International Students

The University of Arkansas is pleased to offer a program to sponsors of international students and to the student directly which facilitates the admission, support, and repatriation of the sponsored student.

Sponsored Student Programs (SSP) takes the student and sponsor from the point of inquiry and admission to final degree conclusion and return home. We act as the point of contact for you, thus avoiding the confusion that frequently arises with multiple-bureaucratic systems.
